  • Preparing and filing the Petition (if you’re the one starting the case).
  • Preparing and filing the Response (if you’ve been served).
  • Making sure all procedural deadlines and local rules are followed.

$300/hr for Temp Orders, Disclosures & Settlement

  • Asking the court for temporary orders about Spousal support (alimony)
  • Exchanging settlement proposals and counter-proposals.
  • Helping you prepare required financial disclosures (income, expenses, assets, debts).
  • Requesting financial documents from the other side (bank records, tax returns, business records).
  • Working with experts when needed (forensic accountants, business valuators, appraisers).
  • Drafting Marital Settlement Agreements when the parties reach agreement.

Leah is a California divorce and family law attorney and the founder of the Law Offices of Leah Choi, serving clients throughout Los Angeles County and Orange County. 

Leah earned her Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Massachusetts School of Law – Dartmouth and her B.A. in Political Science from Michigan State University.
